As of April 1st 2020, our Rock Checkin (specific to the DreamTeam) has been secured.

What does this mean?

As you know, in order to add someone to our DreamTeam groups in Rock they must meet certain requirements. Those requirements are different by serving team. They can include such things like:

  • Child Safety Training
  • Background Check
  • Confidentiality Form
  • Interview
  • etc

One area of tension is our Background Checks.  We process background checks on a yearly basis.  If someone has completed their background check, and pass, they can be added to the appropriate DreamTeam.  But in 1 year, if they do not renew their background check, the DreamTeam member is already been added to the group in Rock and nothing is keeping them from Checking in at a station to serve in our Family Ministry areas on the weekend.

We have decided to restrict our DreamTeams from being able to checkin to Rock unless they have met all requirements for ALL areas they are assigned in Rock.

What does this mean?

If a person is in a Family Ministries DreamTeam group AND a Greeter/Usher… AND they have an updated Background Check on file… no problem. They can check in and continue serving.

If that same person does not have an updated Background Check on file… they will NOT be able to Checkin to EITHER the Family Ministries DreamTeam OR the Greeter/Usher role.

Solution:

  1. DreamTeam Member fills out their Background Check renewal and passes
  2. Staff remove the DreamTeam Member from the Family Ministries DreamTeam group and the DreamTeam Member can still checkin to the Greeter/Usher role.

Teams and roles that require a background check to serve:

  • Kids
  • Students
  • Safety
  • Finance
  • Those people assigned a campus Key
  • Those people with FOB access to:
    • CedarVille
    • Student Ministries
    • Arm/Disarm Rights
    • Safe Access
    • Finance Room
