Kids Exits | 171

Have you ever opened a hallway exit door in Cedarville and an alarm has sounded?  Most of our rear / side exits in the kids ministry area have an alarm on them. This alarm helps notify our DreamTeam and Kids Ministry staff that someone has gone out that door.  This can be important during weekend services to ensure no kids are walking out a side door.

If you are going to exit through one of these doors, we ask that you disarm the door before exiting through the door.

To help identify these doors, you will often see a sign that says “Alarm will sound. Please use FOB to disarm”.

Once you are at the door, you will likely see a small FOB panel next to the door handle. This FOB panel is a small black box with a red light on them.  Once you pass your FOB over the panel, the panel light will turn green. Once the light turns green you are cleared to go through that door without an alarm going off.

Here is a quick spotlight story from the Kids Team at Perrysburg: On any given weekend at the Perrysburg Campus, we have an average of 140+ kids coming through the doors of Cedarville. While we do have ratios in place to provide a safe and fun environment for kids, the shear number of adults and other family members who accompany those children at check-in and check-out can be overwhelming at one time. The Habitech Door Security alarms offer another level of safety because it allows for us to regulate the entrance which families use so that our Safety Team can ensure the people who enter Cedarville are registered to pick-up or drop-off a child. Having a Habitech Door Security alarm on the Administrative Entrance also allows the team to know if someone is entering or exiting without utilizing a key fob; this helps us to know with certainty who is inside the Cedarville area. Providing a safe environment is one of our top values in Kids Ministry, and having this layer of protection helps us to achieve this.
