Did you know that PCO and Rock talk? We have a SYNC turned on to connect the two databases. Recently we have stepped into our last planned phase of the PCO and Rock SYNC. What does this mean?
Since May of 2018 Rock and PCO have been syncing the following items:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Nick Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Profile Picture
As of March 2019, Rock and PCO have been syncing the following items:
- Home Campus
- Staff Tag
Now, as of April 2020, Rock and PCO have started syncing the DreamTeam role someone is part of.
What does this mean?
This means that if a person is on the ‘cleaning team’ at the Whitehouse campus in ROCK, PCO will add a tag to the person profile called: WH-Cleaning Team (as an example). If a person is made inactive in a particular group (like the cleaning team at WH), PCO will see that and sync respectively. In this example, PCO will remove the tag WH-Cleaning Team from the persons profile.
NOTE: The PCO / Rock Sync happens at the top of each hour and takes about 40 minutes to complete. This sync runs Monday – Friday 8am-9pm.
Now that these tags are syncing between ROCK and PCO we can take it to the next level.
Currently our staff are building/maintaining their teams in Rock. They are ALSO scheduling/maintaining their teams in PCO. This means they are maintaining their teams in 2 locations (Rock & PCO). Double the work, double the opportunity for errors.
Each staff member currently overseeing a DreamTeam is encouraged to reach out to Central Support to turn on the Rock.PCO sync for their teams.
This means that Central Support will work with you locally to ‘clear’ your team in PCO and replace your team with anyone carrying the appropriate tag that represents your team in ROCK. (lots of tech talk that means cool stuff!)
After you have turned the sync on for your team with Central Support, you will ONLY Build/Maintain your DreamTeams in Rock and you will ONLY schedule your team in PCO.
We hope that this results in more accurate data, and more importantly a time saver for our staff at the campuses!
If you are ready to sync your teams, reach out to your project manager today!
