Planning Center Online (PCO) is a service that helps to manage teams of DreamTeam and especially the scheduling of those DreamTeam for specific weekend services. DreamTeam are always already in RockRMS. So why should you have to re-enter all their information in PCO when you already have it in Rock? And what do you do when your DreamTeam update their information in PCO, but forget to let you know? The PCO Sync solves these problems for you. It will automatically add, update, and archive users in PCO based on the group(s) in Rock that they belong to. And if a DreamTeam member updates their information in PCO, that updated information will automatically be synced back to Rock (and vice-versa). This allows both systems to have the most up-to-date information about your volunteers as possible.
The Rock <-> Planning Center sync runs hourly Monday through Friday from 8:00am- 9:00pm.
The most important thing to consider with this sync is that Rock is the master database. While the sync is two way and profile information are sync both ways, the initial person is synced from Rock to PCO. A person must be in a Rock group in order to be in Planning Center. If a person is removed from all Rock Groups that syncs to Planning Center, the person will be archived in Planning Center automatically. If a person is added to a Rock Group that syncs to Planning Center and they are not already in Planning Center, the person will be added in Planning Center automatically.
