Teamwork look and layout | 185

Originally posted by Teamwork Projects on June 13th. Some of you may have already opted to use the new look, others may not.

However, on November 1st the new look will be pushed to all users at CedarCreek Church.

We’re excited to roll out a brand new look and feel to Teamwork. It’s the same platform you know and love, only we’ve given it a glow-up that will help you do more focused, productive work—and make your work look even better!

So why did we decide to make changes to the design and navigation in the first place? It’s a good question, and one we thought through a lot when determining what the new layout would look like.

To answer that question (and a few others that might be on your mind), let’s dig into what you can expect to see when working in the radically improved Teamwork.

New look and feel, same functionality

More than anything, this update gives Teamwork a more modern, cleaner look and feel. Rest assured that the functionality you’re used to isn’t changing or going anywhere—in fact, we’ve made it even easier to access all the great Teamwork features you know and love!

Only the look and layout of Teamwork have been updated, which means there’s little-to-no learning curve involved as you navigate the new Teamwork (hurray!).

The navigation is streamlined, top features are surfaced, and searching is easier than ever. Plus, a handy side navigation panel is now easily accessible at all times on the left side of the screen, ultimately letting you find the features you use most often, much faster.

Here are a few other highlights to take note of:

  • With the improved “Quick Add” button, all of your top time-saving features are now grouped together in one convenient place, allowing you to add a task, start a timer, or invite users with no effort at all.

Improved search

  • The search bar is always at your fingertips to ensure you never have to go far to find what you’re looking for. Not only that, but you’ll also see all of your recent activity, so you can jump back into a recently viewed task without fumbling around to find it!
  • Time tracking is now prominently featured in the side navigation, so you can quickly see where your time is being spent.

Do work that’s more focused and productive

One of our goals with the updated Teamwork is to make it easier for you to focus on your work, and at the same time help you increase your productivity.

Take for instance the collapsible side navigation panel, which you can choose to reveal at any time within the platform for easy access to your top features. Need to create a more focused environment for your work? Simply collapse the panel to get the full screen experience with no distractions.

Collapsible side nav

Thanks to this collapsible panel, we’re surfacing your most used features while creating a much cleaner, more intuitive experience that’s less complicated and easier to navigate. You can even customize the side navigation to make sure the pages you visit most are at your fingertips, giving you a more contextual and personalized view of Teamwork.

Another bonus: if you’re trying to track down a project you were working on earlier but don’t feel like searching for it again, you can now view your most recent projects at-a-glance using our slick new project slide-out to help you quickly find what you’ve been working on. Pretty neat, right?

“I really like the new side navigation panel! The new search bar that surfaces my most recent projects has saved me a lot of time.”

Give your work the glow-up it deserves

Ultimately, the new and improved layout is more than just about helping you work more efficiently—it also makes the work you do look great! Think of it as a fresh coat of paint rather than an extreme makeover.

By freshening up Teamwork’s look, we want to help you enjoy spending time in Teamwork—and do better work for your clients at the same time.

One more thing: we know change can be difficult to get used to, which is why we’re still giving you the option to switch back to the old navigation for the time being. And if you have any questions as you take the new Teamwork for a spin, we’re always here to lend a hand at any point along the way—just let us know how we can help at support@teamwork.com.
