There are many features behind Rock checkin that make it very powerful.
We have recently made changes to Rock checkin that will enhance its functionality for our teams.
Previously to know, there were 4 basic features to Rock Checkin. Those 4 basic features appeared visibly to you on your checkin configuration screen.
- Pick a Theme (ex: creek-adventure)
- Select a Device (ex: PB-Checkin-iPad-01)
- Select a Configuration (ex: Student Ministry Checkin Area)
- Select your Groups (ex: Middle School; High School; Serving Teams)
Our recent change includes activating Room Capacities. Turning on Room Capacities means three things:
- We had to build each physical room at a campus into Rock.
- We gave each physical room at capacity limit.
- We had to assign each checkin group (ex: 5th grade, 10th grade, growth track etc) to one of those rooms
You may be asking… how does this effect me? Great Question! 😛
The good news, as a team member… this should not require anything more or less on your end.
In order to keep our database fast, efficient and easy for our DreamTeam to set up each weekend, we assigned each iPad to a select group of rooms at the campus. This means that each iPad can only (ish) be used to checkin in guests/dreamteam in those assigned rooms. If we find that specific iPads need to carry additional rooms/groups, we can review those options and continue to update our settings to best serve everyone.
For Example:
The following Checkin iPads are set up to checkin the following groups:
- Student Ministry iPads (typically iPad 01 & 02)
- Middle School Students
- High School Students
- Student Ministry DreamTeam
- Celebrate Recovery Guests (only at OR)
- Celebrate Recovery DreamTeam (only at OR)
- Next Steps iPads (typically iPad 05 & 06)
- Growth Track Guests
- Group Leader Training
- Celebrate Recovery Guests (only at ST)
- Celebrate Recovery DreamTeam (only at ST)
- New Family iPads
- Babies – 2s
- 3s-5s
- K – 4th
- Kids Ministry DreamTeam
- Celebrate Recovery Guests (except at OR & ST)
- Celebrate Recovery DreamTeam (except at OR & ST)
- Celebrate Place Guests
- Celebrate Place DreamTeam
- Kids Ministry iPads (typically iPad 07, 08, 09 & 10… PB has 11 & 12)
- Babies – 2s
