Trimming Weekend Services for On-Demand Playback from Resi

1. Log into https://control.resi.io/

2. Click “Events” on the left.

3. Find “Sun 11am Web” and confirm the Status is “Stopped”. If it isn’t, wait until it is (it should stop by 12:30pm). If Stopped, click “Watch” button on the right of that item.

4. Play the event and pause it where you want the trim to start. Typically this is at the end of the countdown or just as the host cuts back to the live video starting the service. Then click the “Add Cue” button.

5. The “Time Position” should auto-fill with where you paused your video. Give the cue a name like “Start” and click “Create Cue”.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 but this time for the END of the service and call the cue “End”.

7. Once both cues exist, click the “Trim Event” button.

8. Set the name to “11am Trimmed” and choose the Start and End cues you created as the Start/Stop points. BE SURE TO CHECK THE BOX for “Set trimmed Web Event as Active” or this won’t work. Click the “Create Event” button.

9. Click “Back to Events” and you should see the top “Web Event” as the new “11am Trimmed” and it should have both the “Next Sim-Live” and “Active” tags attached.

10. Now we need to trim the Closed Captioning feed. This can use the same Cues we already created, so click “Watch” next to the “Sun 11am Web Captions” item in the list and follow steps 8 and 9 to trim that event to the “Start” and “End” cues, naming it “11am Captions Trimmed”.

11. That’s it! Looking at the web event list, you should see the two new trimmed events at the top with both tagged for “Next Sim-Live” and “Active”. (If they aren’t… like if you forgot to check the “Set trimmed Web Event as Active” box on one, click the three dots to the right of the “Watch” button for that trimmed event and delete it, then go back to step 3 and try again, re-using your existing Cues.)

12. If you want to confirm it’s all good, go to https://cedarcreek.tv/watchnow and see that it starts at your trim point and click the “cc off” button at the bottom left of the player when you mouse over it, to turn on captions and confirm that is trimmed as well.
