Slack Retention

Message Retention:

  • The newest 10,000 messages are kept in slack. Globally, messages over the most recent 10,000 are deleted automatically.
  • Monthly there is a purge of all files over 5 months old. These files are deleted from slack.

User Retention

  • Project Managers will maintain active or inactive member lists within their departments Slack channels every 3-4 months.
  • RockRMS will be updated with Active Slack Users quarterly.
    • Active Users in Slack will have a person attribute for Slack on their personal profile in Rock.
  • Centrally we will remove overall users once or twice a year as an additional audit.
